| The Avocet is a fun kayak which is suitable for
the whole family. It is small and light and therefore easy to carry, transport and store.
Despite its size the cockpit is deep and can accommodate big paddlers. It is a classic sit inside kayak with a very comfortable seat and adjustable
foot pedals. It is wide and stable making it easy for anyone to paddle. It has rocker both
bow and stern which enables it to turn instantly either in response to the paddle or the
rudder. The Avocet's nimble handling makes it fun in confined waterways and in the surf.
The Avocet is designed as an easy to handle kayak suitable
for the whole family. The compact design and stability of the Avocet do come at the
expense of speed.
Despite its cute looks, the Avocet is a capable sea kayak and
can handle extreme conditions including surf. It has 2 bulkheads creating 3 separate
compartments making it virtually unsinkable. It has one large spin-in hatch which can
accommodate enough kit for day trips.
