Guided Kayak Adventure

R350.00

Connect with nature and experience Cape Town from a different perspective by joining us for a leisurely, fun, scenic kayak in the heart of Sea Point, set against the spectacular backdrop of Table Mountain and the Stadium!

No Kayaking Experience Necessary

All trips are guided, and we are conservative about the conditions we kayak in.  The trips are gentle in pace and no previous kayaking experience is necessary. The focus is on fun, enjoying the serene setting, and hopefully, seeing some wildlife.

See Wildlife From Your Kayak

We are often fortunate to see a variety of wildlife on our trips including seals, sun fish and even the occasional penguin! There is a chance of seeing dolphins, as they love the sheltered waters around Granger Bay. We are also lucky to see both Southern Right and Humpback whales from time to time, as they migrate along our coastline.

Kayak Adventure Duration & Frequency

We do 3-4 trips trips throughout the day (depending on the season).  Morning trips best for seeing wildlife, while our late afternoon trip offers the prospect of spectacular sunset views towards Clifton. Trips are approximately 2 hours in length.

You need to be at the shop 15 minutes BEFORE your scheduled trip to get you signed in, kitted up and present for the safety briefing.

Sun protection such as suncream, a hat and sunglasses. We have water bottles, but you could bring something else to drink if you prefer.

Comfortable beach wear (quick dry clothing is not essential but it is more comfortable). You can change and leave bags in the shop. There is a small safe for valuables. You do get a bit wet so you can bring a towel and a change of clothes for afterwards.

Come to the shop – Kaskazi Kayaks And Adventures, 179 Beach Road, Mouille Point, Cape Town, 8005 – right next doorr to the Shell garage.

There is no fitness or experience requirement for our trips. The focus is a leisurely, scenic activity in beautiful surroundings, hopefully with some wildlife. You just need to be able to hold a paddle and follow instructions.

We are very conservative about the conditions we paddle in, and our experienced guides will make decide on the ground before the trip whether conditions are safe to kayak. We aim for a fun, relaxing experience for each trip.

The average trip duration is approximately 2 hours.

There are a number of restaurants, coffee shops and ice-cream parlors in the area, and the promenade itself is great for walks along the water’s edge. You can also hire bicycles on the promenade, if that’s more your scene.
